Just bought a 25KG sack for £7.00. The lady in the farm shop said they are being grown all over Kent, Devon and Somerset so you should come across them in your supermarket
A good all-rounder, chips and roasts beautifully, crispy and golden on the outside and fluffy smooth inside, and doesn't boil away in the water, makes lovely 'silky' smooth mash and baked.
Boiled and roasted some on Sunday, and just made mash with them for a shepherds pie tonight. Thought I'd pass it on, fed up of potatoes flaking and boiling in the water.
I used to use Maris Piper for chips and roast, Bard for baking, King Edward for mash, that was when I could get them, I've tried Roosters, but they went quite small and grown in Scotand could be a supply problem. Just thought I'd pass on a bit of info
