I would look at the shop bought product then do a 'post mortem' on the main ingredients which will probably be the lower calories, then substitute the mayo dressing with one made from 50% low fat creme fraiche and 50% extra light mayo, + squeeze of lemon juice. I have a feeling the shop bought Florida salad has canned pineapple and cherries? make sure any canned fruit you use is in fruit juice not syrup which would hike up the calories.
