Stevia
6 Answers
Just bought a jar of this sweetener as I found I was using more and more sugar in my coffee and want to reduce my sugar intake.
Does anyone use it and if so, how do you like it? Does it work spoonful for spoonful like sugar or do you use less? I have a jar of the granulated stuff not the liquid.
Thanks x

However for some reason I've found that over the last maybe five years I've been enjoying coffee stronger and stronger, and sweeter and sweeter, to the point I now have two heaped teaspoons in a cup, anything less I find isn't nearly sweet enough.
Old geezer, from what I've read stevia is the most natural of the artificial sweeteners..if that's not a contradiction in terms...which is why I fancied trying it. Ive just used it this morning and needed more than twice as much to even get near my coffee being sweet enough, and it left a peculiar taste on the back of my tongue. I guess if I persevere I'll get used to it but I'm not sure I can be bothered, it rather spoilt my morning coffee.
