i,d class them as biscuits although they do have a thicker filling than most biscuits.

The test is this:
 
If left exposed to the air, a biscuit will go soft.

If left exposed to the air a cake will go hard.

I've never had a fig roll long enough to test this out :-)

Yes, I think I would call them biscuits, although as many have said they're never around long enough to worry about.

P.S. They dont dunk very well do they!
