Curry..but Not As You Know It
11 Answers
A friend of mine who does slimming world recommended this curry, it's one of the slimming world recipes and I have to say i thought it sounded totally gross.
However, due to lack of any cooking enthusiasm yesterday, and having a tin of mushy peas rusting at the back of the cupboard, I tried it.
Bung a tin of chopped tomatoes, a tin of baked beans and a tin of mushy peas in a pan. Heat through and stir in as much or little curry powder as you want. Serve it with rice. I fried a chopped onion, a chopped red pepper and a handful of frozen peas first and added that to the mix.
It's actually rather good, tastes like chip shop curry. We're having the leftovers with a jacket spud for lunch. Before you barf, try it, it might surprise you as much as it surprised me :)

Probably is a good one for students Kate, cheap, easy and tasty.
After this friend told me about it, I googled it and no one had a bad thing to say about it, which is why I thought I'd try it.
Some people blitz it to make it smooth, you can add chicken or any meat or veg to it. Or you can bin it and not feel you've spent a fortune or wasted much time and effort ;)
