i know i know, sacrilege but i have about a third of a bottle of cab sauv left over from last night.
I'm not planning on making anything that needs wine so what can i do with it, pouring it away seems wrong on so many levels....

Apparently you can put it in freezer cube tray and then use them to pop into stews, bolognese sauce etc. I have never had any left over to try this out for myself however.

make a crumble and put some in it.

make some root veg soup and add to that.

come on it's only a third of a bottle. either of those will use it up.

i was wondering about freezing it, i will have to give it a go and report back, not planning on making either of those lady J - but i do like the idea of adding it to soup, i'd not thought of that

my sweet potato, garlic and chorizo soup would like red vino i think.....

go for it fluffy. it's usually a hit as mystery ingredient for evening meal.

another way to use it up is to pour it over any roast while it is "resting". not cooking but resting. then use the juices to make gravy.

i just can't bring myself to chuck it, it looks so sad. im going to freeze it, although im making a pork chilli for dinner, wonder if it would work with that?
