Sweet Potato

I have one fairly large sweet potato to use up, and have never cooked them before.
Would i peel and slice and boil and mash as an ordinary potato?

Dont want anything fancy, just a quick cook to go with tonights dinner.

I must invest in a smallish fat fryer as it leaves more scope to cook chips and stuff in. Threw my fryer away a few yrs ago. Here's to the next yummy sweet potato meal.
