I think that I invented a new winter cereal some years back which believe me takes some beating. I call it Treaclewheat Porridge. Place two Wheatabix biscuits in a bowl, dribble a desert spoon of Golden Syrup over it & then add hot milk & stir into a porridge consistency. Yum Yum.
Sounds lovely - maybe would be good with honey instead of golden syrup? For a lighter alternative I suppose dried cranberries (made by Ocean Spray)would give it a hint of sweetness instead? I use those in my Scotts porridge oats - but no sugar.
