As we are getting rid of the big car, we decided that, this week we would take all the junk from the garage to the tip whilst we still had a big car to put it in. So far we have made three trips to the recycling bank and yet we have still more to take. How can you accumulate so much rubbish? I won't make a list. It would be endless.

P.S. How long do half tins of paint last? We have about ten, half used tins. Do they need to go?

Does anyone want a 1970's Goblin teasmade?

Does anyone want a 1970's Goblin teasmade?...... Errm not for me Tilly. If you found any Gold or Diamonds I might be interested
Take the teasmade to a Flog-it! I'm trying to do the same thing in wardrobes.
I made three garage clearing trips to the tip for the daughter last week.....now my garage is full of stuff I couldn't help bringing back....☺

I loved that teasmade. It would wake me up gently when it began to boil.

What sort of things have you brought back, gness? Half tins of Dulux?
We save all our half tins of paint but never ever use them. Chuck 'em out.
I would have done a car boot Tilly. You wouldnt believe some of the rubbish that people will buy. I used to do car boots regularly and (of the top of my head) in the past I have sold tvs that dont work (and were sold as such) also clocks, radios and other electrical items that no longer work, coats with buttons missing, chipped ornaments and also half tins of paint. I also once sold a toy dinosaur with a leg missing....I kid you not. Oh, and bits of wood that would have otherwise gone on the fire. Where theres muck theres brass...

I did take my teasmaid to a car boot sale once, nailit. No one bought it. so it came home again.
Get rid of the half tins of paint, taking up room and I bet that they would never get used.
A preformed waterfall is the most useless, Tilly...unless turned into a little bog garden....x
Open oil paint tins releasing toxic vapour are excellent repellents to mice, bugs & bees. Put them in sheds & attics but NOT your living space unless you wanna cheap high.
You just can't take the bog out of an Irish coleen
if at first you dont sell it try, try again Tilly ;-)
BTW, I think the toy dinosaur I sold must have been a limpasaurus!!!
Indeed you can't, Psyb....♣
Thats a good tip Tambo. Im a painter and decorator by trade (though havnt worked for some time) and never heard of that before.
No sniffing nailit ;)
lol Tambo....
You think that's difficult Tilly, try moving house!

Hoppy, when we moved, twenty years ago, we brought a whole load of rubbish with us. Time to get rid, I say.
you keep paint in case you want to touch up bits that have the same colour. If it's reaching the point where you'd repaint the whole room anyway, might as well chuck the old ones.
