We've not had one of these titles for a while so I thought I'd ask...what are you having to eat this evening?
I've just made a thing with salmon, leeks, cherry tomatoes, spinach, parsley, sweet chilli sauce and cream cheese, just needs the pasta adding when we're ready to eat.
Ive made double so that's tomorrow sorted too, good job because we're decorating the kitchen and utility room over the weekend. Time for a G&T.
Good question Ethandron, I have a choice of Millers (yuck, tastes like distilled cucumber), Gordon's (not keen but it was on offer), a Scottish one that is glorious but I cannot be @rsed getting up to remind me of the name, and.......Waitrose own brand that has been recommended as above average when compared to known brands. I might go for the Waitrose offering to see if my friends tasting was accurate.....it might involve a second tasting to be sure ;-)
Rump steak, mushrooms, jacket potatoes with sour cream and chives, mixed salad and a nice bottle of malbec. I've got a nice Belgian chocolate cheescake for dessert. OH hasn't has any real food since Wednesday due to having colonoscopy today so he's ready for a slap up meal.
sunny-dave -you shot a poor innocent pork pie? For a start its the breeding season and now there will be no pattering of mini pork pies in M&S, You should be ashamed of yourself!!
left overs from a lunch finger buffet I did...ham and tomato/salmon and cucumber bridge rolls, pizza fingers, cheese board, mince pies and sticky toffee cake
I might give your pasta dish a go tomorrow, I have most of the bits and bobs and I'm thinking about having a week of eating fish. It is infuriating that a fishmonger only appears in the area twice a week and I'm a bit funny about buying fresh fish in supermarkets.
As it's really cold here compared to the rest of the week, we are having, chicken stir fry type stew..ish. On the hob and with own made up sauce thrown in! Smells delicious as it's cooking now...will have to add some diced potatoes as I am really hungry. Yum yum.
DTC, you are lucky that the growers have the confidence to take a punt on the weather!
I'm really fancying a Bridport Pork Pie, I'm not a fan in general but the Bridport dodgers are really rather scrummy, especially when served with home made piccalilli :-)
