I've got a couple of slices of streaky bacon in the fridge and I'm just wondering is it okay to deep fry it as a cooking method.

That's how they do it in our chippy.
Yes, never done it but I know a lot of cafés who do. Dead quick and no change to taste. Same with sausage.
How is it Dead quick?

Grill them - quick and healthy.

We had American guests recently who informed my wife that they deep fry their Thanksgiving turkey. Lol, you've gotta hand it to the yanks.
How big a chip pan would you need to deep fry a turkey?
Well KFC was always deep fried as far as I am aware, so not much different from a turkey, apart from size.
You can deep fry most food. Pies, chocolate bars (in batter), steaks, bread, etc. I'd never deep fry bacon though - it would kill it
Neither would I, far easier to just buy a bag of pork scratchings ;-)
Don't see why not. Toying with the idea of deep-fried Mars bars wrapped in bacon! Do you think it would go down well as street-food?
