Who:
(a) makes their own pastry and mincemeat?
(b) makes pastry but buys mincemeat?
(c) buys pastry but makes mincemeat?
(d) buys ready-made mince pies?
It's like boxed dates. People buy them at Chrsitams, but who ever eats them? They were Eat Me dates, all sticky and gluey and they came with a little wooden fork. The box lay around the house like a little coffin and then in January, was always chucked out. Hey presto though, next year they were bought again.
Normally (d), but this year have made my own mincemeat (recipe includes finely chopped crystallised ginger, whisky and nuts) and used ready-to-use pastry. They are yummy - so much better than shop bought!
