We don't often have these threads anymore, I used to like them as they gave me some inspiration when I was stuck or fed up of the same old same old.
I've just made a gigantic vat of chilli, it's currently bubbling away in the oven.

Back to your question we'll be having a ploughmans platter style nibble, involving a seriously tasty Caerfilli :-)

ethandron I wouldn't use the turkey steaks for meatballs as they may be too dry but here's what I sometimes do: flatten out the steaks with a rolling pin, put a little sausage meat down one side and roll up into a parcel. Brown the parcels quickly in a fry pan then put in an ovenproof casserole and add a tomato based sauce of your choice (homemade or a jar) bake in oven for about 40 mins on 180c take out, sprinkle with cheese (I use Parmesan) put back in for a couple of minutes and serve with pasta or mashed potato.
