...what are you having for your evening meal? I like to know because it gives me inspiration :)
We're having supermarket Chinese takeaway, the spring rolls, etc., are currently in the oven, the rest will be cooked once we've gorged ourselves.
We are doing a Moroccan chicken dish, which we haven't tried before. Smells good so far. Was supposed to have it with cous cous, but MrAC 'didn't have time' to look for it at the supermarket earlier as he was in a rush to get home to watch footie, so I'll have to serve it with rice.
Fatayer sabanekh with a mish mash of salads to accompany them. I'm trying to avoid having a massive protein overload hence having a veggie offering this evening.
I quite fancy a Chinese meal, I wonder what I could pull together on Monday????
Well, I know what salmon in, same with pizza, Moroccan chicken is self explanatory as is bread, cheese, etc., but I confess I had to google fatayaer thingy.
Mmm, I could eat any/all of what you're all having although my Chinese is smelling very appetising...
Hmmmm, a big fat spring roll rammed full with bean sprouts, ginger, twice cooked pork, spring onion, a smattering of shrimps and a dunking sauce that is salty, sweet and unctuous........hmmmmm.......
I look at the quick-sale shelf in the supermarket (stuff with today's date on it) to see whats on offer.
So tonight its chicken tikka masala & rice, crunchy duck spring rolls (6) and Indian spiced bhaji burgers x2.
Not bad, all for under a fiver!
Unfortunately it's fish and chips for us. Just luck of the draw really.....supping a glass or two of red vino so can't be bothered to cook.....there's honest for you lol.
Tilly,
A) Its the first time I've seen the bhagi burgers, they were knocked down from £2.30 to 0.65p, so I thought why not ?
Just looked at the ingredients and it says : Burgers made of potato, carrot, onion, paneer, coriander and cumin.
