Recently, in the last 2 or 3 years, I've heard Baconnaise mentioned in a number of different places. It's a blend of bacon taste and mayonnaise that was invented in America (...so no surprises there!!), which sounds like it shouldn't work, but all the people who've tried it say it's absolutely scrummy.
I'd just really like to try it, but...
I've tried finding it in all my local supermarkets and shops - no luck. I've checked it out on the internet - plenty of Google entries, and several direct you to where it's available. Amazon have it - except that when you go to their website, it's out of stock, and no info on when it might be back. Harvey Nichols have it, except - no they don't - same story as Amazon. A number of other stockists have it, including the USA Food Store here in London, but... again, when you key it into the search box, again, it comes up as out of stock.
Either it's that popular that shops can't match the demand with the supply, or... there's some problem with getting it into the country.
Anybody got any idea what the problem might be?

Sounds tasty ! There are several recipes on Google and it seems to be pretty straight forward to make your own.
I haven't mastered c & p on this iPad yet but well worth a look !

Might give it a go myself
I just looked at the link because I had never heard of it
I have always saved the fat from grilled bacon and use it on a prawn and avocado sandwich, but only that not with any mayonnaise.,
Can you not simply put mayo on the bacon ?
Liquidise it if that's not the right consistency.
I thought you were talking about a nasal spray that was prescribed for my husband's sinusitis. It was called beconase. Yuk!
Personally, being a chef I would put cooked bacon and mayo together and anything else you fancy into a food processor.
I'd do the same ^^^^^...yummm!
Depends if you are veggie though. Baconnaise is veggie (and Kosher) as it contains no bacon.
Yes you can buy veggie alternatives to use
