A friend has been raving about the Homepride range.

She says that Tesco is selling some jars for 79p which seems
very good value.
Are they what they are cracked up to be?

If you must have jars of sauces in the cupboard as standbys I heartily recommend Loyd Grossman ones - they are the best of a bunch for flavour and texture.

Well I don't like them.....read the ingredients and see what you think. i find them gluey and synthetic tasting.
Hi toalisi, I tried them once & agree with Woofgang.

I like seeds of change or some of Marks own brand.

Thanks woofgang, Elina & Mamyalynne for your frank answers.
You don't want to buy a cracked one. Never know what has got in it !
I used one - once. We could taste the chemicals. As Mamy says the Lloyd Grossman are about the best of the bunch, but I always start from scratch nowadays, it's about another 15 mins..
I always but Homepride Chilli Sauce.......love it!
Hi toalisi,I used to buy them years ago then stopped because I try to do my own. I decided to try one again after so many years and regretted it - yuk!
