i have just made a club samwhich . pepper,red onion, lettuce,cheese,smoked ham, fried egg. mayo.

mmmmmmmm tasty.

anymore ways to make a nice club samwhich.

I thought the classic club sandwich was bacon, sliced hard boiled egg, sliced tomato and lettuce.

The bread has to be really good and fresh, the butter real, the chicken moist and the bacon crispy. Why not try with some roasted red peppers or some red pepper hummus slathered everywhere next time you make one - lovely jubbly

i first had a club samwhich like this in amswerdam, toasted bread with cheese red onion fried egg melted cheese over ham with french fries and mayo on side, was great.

ill be buying some nice smokey bacon tomorow

What you have described sounds more like an uitsmijter than a club sandwich.

sounds YUM no matter what it's called. In some places a club sandwich just means triple layered, no matter what's in it. My local do a lovely chicken, bacon fried egg club

A traditional club sandwich is chicken,bacon,lettuce and tomato with mayo on three slices of bread/toast....at least where I come from.

agree with pasta, even better with homemade mayo, and yes, Eccles, some rapsberry chipotle mixed in with it, a brand called Fischer and Weiser from Fredericksburg in Texas....those of you near a Whole Foods may be able to get it.

ive done both with boiled egg sliced, and bacon but the fried egg with bacon or ham is much better with melted cheese, mmmmmmmmm

theyre a great summer dinner with a pint of diet coke n ice ;-)
