I just remembered I had 2 breast of chicken seal wrapped, in the fridge, and its use by date was last Sunday the 21st.

Do you think it will be OK to cook tonight?

Thanks.

If they smell OK and you cook them thoroughly almost definitely but I probably wouldn't take my own advice - I'm always nervous about chicken and shellfish.
I probably wouldn`t as it`s chicken. I might if it was red meat.
Bargepole - touch with - Do Not.

Don't risk it trt, just in case

Thanks folks, going to bin it.
They'll be fine. If you're ill after eating them, you'll know I was wrong. Enjoy.
I'd only have binned it it it smelt bad or was slimy. You weren't intending to eat it raw anyway.
... IT IF IT ...
like I $^&*&///$ typed ! >:-(
Why bin it? What a terrible waste of food!
If it was 15 mins out of date Mrs sqad would bin it.

Salvage it from the bin and send it to BOO, she will eat it.
sqad, hope your'e on the mend
as far as chicken goes, I'm 100% with mrs sqad
Too right I would, if it smells fine and is ok to the touch it's perfectly safe.

Incidentally sqad, your wife's lucky that you/she can afford to throw out food, as I certainly can't.
Humber....thanks......no big deal. Yes I am getting back to routine ;-)
BOO......luck has nothing to do with it.......she set her sights and plans to snare a successful, wealthy handsome professional and that is what she got.

You make your own luck......;-)
I'd bin it.
Or feed it to the cats.
Yes well, i prefer to be happy sqad :-)
B00, I hate slinging food, but chicken's already too messed about with further back down the chain to risk
I've had some bought am, go off in the fridge by pm
(from the co-op, btw!)

good sqad
Don't get me wrong, if it smells off, you obviously don't cook it- but trt didn't say that it did which suggests theirs was fine.

And ahhhh th' co-op, can't trust nowt from there!
