A few weeks ago I bought a load of fruit - our wee vegetable shop allows you to buy in ones.

Anyway went on and made a big jug of smoothie. Just fruit (no liquids). It wasn't every day I drank it which resulted in me having some left after a week but because it was a week old I threw the last drop out.

I would like to do it again - can anybody tell me if it goes "off" after a certain time.

I would make a fresh smoothie each day and ring the changes by using different fruits and flavourings. Making in volume is a waste and boring to my mind.
Two things can happen. It can ferment and/or grow mould on its surface. If its mould in the surface then toss it. It will be disgusting and could make you ill. If it ferments then it will smell sour and taste a bit fizzy. It probably won't kill you but you wont need laxatives for a while!

ok thanks for your answers as I really didn't have a clue.
Freeze it in batches and unfreeze as you want to drink it.
Freezing it is a great suggestion - freeze on the day it's made. In the catering world you have 3 days from it being made to it being still safe to consume.
