Hi Vinny, my husband used to work for a well known brewery & has just informed me that the smallest wooden kasks are normally around 9 gallons in capacity. Also, very, very, few independent brewers still supply their beers this way. The normal container for real ales would be an alluminium kask, lined with stainless steel, which is far easier to sterilise.
