As I was signing for a parcel this morning the postie's van started to move slowly down the slight incline of the close.....

Assuming he'd left the handbrake off I jumped over the step calling...Quick! Your van's rolling away!..........and sprinted up the drive....I was going to save the van and my neighbour's front garden!.....

The poor chap recovered about the same time as I noticed his mate in the driving seat....... :-(

I didn't realise they traveled in pairs.......

Off to the gym now.....though I've had today's exercise......☺

We're you in your PJ's too?

And what's a "gym"?
Question Author
In my black floaties, Boo......and a gym is a big building where they don't allow cake..... :-(
Ahhh, probably why I don't go in them them, but I did here a rumour that some machines in there have holders specifically for snacks like a pork pie or a tube of Pringles.

Black floaties? That somfin' slinky? Only me who wears mismatched holey PJ's then? :-(
I wonder if I can hack the CCTV for Gness Close ...
Question Author
They do, Boo......and a Guinness holder on the other side.... ;-)

Black floaties?.....just black and comfy.....but there is a hole in one sleeve......x

Do and you'll need that new elephant to hide behind, Dave......x
They probably have the exercise machines with snack holders at the gym near me. It's on the second floor and there's an escalator to it.
Question Author
Well there's posh, Vulcan.....I have to climb two flights of stairs....:-(
Climbing stairs to a gym is how it should be, you're getting more exercise but an escalator? That's as bad as a neighbour of mine who runs through the nearby forest, about half a mile away, who drives to get there. :o)
Black floaties .......... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steady andy, it's a bit early for that.
Question Author
Well, had I known black floaties would have that reaction I'd have mentioned them sooner.....and often.....☺

Don't stop him, Vulcan....at my age it's never too early!...
The thought was there gness well done.
What's the matter with you gness? Chasing postmen in your black floaty number! Haven't you got any fences to mend??...
Question Author
Hi, Ron.....x

Patsy.....have you any idea just how long I've been waiting, in my black floaties, to chase the postie......thought my day would never come!

No fences to mend now.....all done....but I have borrowed an electric paint sprayer to paint them all black.....what can go wrong?!... ;-)
how to scare them - when you can spray paint the postie van black as it sits there, or sort of, in front of you.....can you stencil ER and the crown in gold in that time as well - that would be impressive.
"What can go wrong?"

How long have you got?!..........
Question Author
I'm not trying to completely scare him off, DT.......and where would I have an ER stencil....unless it's Emergency Room.....:-)

I'm sort of looking forward to experimenting, BM......but not when next door's washing is out I think.....I'll keep you posted......!
My postie luvz me ( apparently)
is it because I sing " wait a minute wait a minute Mr Postman!"
Nope
is it because I thank him when hedelivers the mail ? nope

it is apparently I am the only one in the close who doesnt swear at him when he delivers court papers....
( that is because I issue them and dont receive them I nearly said ( too much detail)
//I didn't realise they traveled in pairs....... //
rumour has it that they'll only deliver to gness if they have back up
Question Author
