Due to my op, I can't eat meat or bread for at least six weeks and food has to be quite soft with no firm lumps. I've made myself some sweet potato and coconut milk soup, got mashed potatoes in the freezer and also some cauliflower cheese. Can anyone give me any tasty ideas.

Scrambled eggs with grilled tomatoes. Yummy!

No toast though.
Can you eat fish?

How about dhal and rice?

Agree with scrambled eggs and omelettes.

Trying to think of soft sources of protein for you as nuts are clearly out!

Thanks, Tilly. I've had some scrambled eggs but I don't think I'd be able for the tomatoes. The skin and pips give me the horrors at the moment
Stewed apples or mashed bananas with custard
Risotto with whatever addition takes your fancy.

Fish wasn't mentioned, I'm presuming that if I stay away from the firm fish like swordfish and stick with cod that I'll be OK. Quite disappointed in the lack of advice from the consultant, to be honest. Rice I'll try, is dhal made from lentils? If so then that's a big no no. One of the side effects of the op is flatulence ;)

Stewed apple. Excellent, I have some in the freezer. Can't have banana, too sticky.

Thank you all. Keep the ideas coming and I might just get out the other side!
These people might be worth looking at. go to the link and scroll down to pureed foods.
They also do a "soft" option where all the foof is mashable with a fork with no lumps.

My clients use them a lot, really good quality as well and delivered to your door every week. https://www.wiltshirefarmfoods.com/frozen-ready-meals?gclid=CjwKEAjw_uvHBRDUkumF0tLFp3cSJACAIHMYYr-K6OP2mV71jWiWdMwWGioJ1fLyKuxY9hfawl4v9RoCQVfw_wcB
Ice cream
porridge
blancmange
savoury minced beef, without any added vegetables
mashed swede.
yoghurt.
Milk puddings

Hi rocky my soft food following the diet was as follows
Quorn mince made into cottage pie and bolognaise sauce
Eggs scrambled and into omelettes
mash with pureed veg
butternut squash and sweet potato mash with finely chopped chicken (know you can't have meat but towards then end start to introduce it)
Cauli and parsnip puree with quorn mince
mash with cheese and cod
mash with eggs and cheese
I'd be looking at 'fresh' (chilled in cartons) soups - Covent Garden do loads and most supermarkets have own brands.

Aldi do frozen cauli cheese - not bad at all & very useful for having a small portion when others are eating your 'banned' foods
Are pancakes (savoury or sweet) allowed - if so they can be stuffed with risotto or stewed apple?
Complan
Weetabix
Chocolate
Tinned salmon, tuna or sardines and rice, eggs or baked normal or sweet potato done soft.

Could you very finely chop or grate things for a omelette like mushrooms and add in grated cheese to melt?

Mash with wholegrain mustard is nice and has a bit more of a kick for more taste, or does it need to be blander as well as soft?

Cheese and potato mash pie.
Porridge and Ready Brek too. You could put different things in it to make it more interesting like non lumpy jam, golden syrup etc...
Are you allowed very soft egg noodles? Something like a prawn and coconut laksa with the noodles cut very short and done very soft and the prawns cooked cut up very fine similarly with the onion, garlic, ginger etc... for taste.
Where I used to work about a quarter of the clients had to have puréed food. What the cook did was give them exactly the same plate of food as everyone else had but whizzed it up in a blender till it was totally lump free and smooth, maybe adding a little more gravy, sauce or water if needed. She even whizzed up pizza and salad, roast dinners including the meat, and stew. You wouldn't have known there was any meat in it by the time it was puréed.
I don't know if that would work for you rocky, I'm guessing meat and bread is too lumpy but could you have it if it was puréed in a meal?
