Nowt. I cannot stand lamb shanks. I like roast lamb but not shanks. I don't like the texture.

Jackdaw , well if it was a leg of lamb for a roast it would be roast potatoes etc but I don't think you'd serve roasties with a lamb shank would you? Love the other answers- and like OGs full bodied red lol

If I do lamb shanks it tends to be a north African tagine style recipe so jewelled cous cous and maybe French beans with a garlic and mint butter.

Tilly maybe you've just been unlucky. When I've ever had them theyre just soft meat that falls off the bone

Give me shoulder of lamb over leg any time. Slow cooked it just falls off the bone and melts in the mouth.

I like lamb, lamb shanks, chops, shoulder etc
Can't always cook it terribly well, but when it's done nicely, it's lush.
