Crumpet Toppings.

Hi all! Just wondering what toppings people put on their crumpets. I have just butter, or cheese. Have had loganberry jam once or twice, but have to be in a “sweet” mood to enjoy that!

What sort of toppings do other ambers favour?

Butter, butter and more butter, nothing else. There isn't enough butter unless it starts oozing from the bottom of the crumpet

Same as Eccles and Islay. There cannot, ever, be enough butter on a hot crumpet.

Not a topping idea, but it's a pain putting cheese on the Christmas tree shaped crumpets :(

Grated cheese mixed with Worcestershire sauce, piled on top of a slice of tomato and onion, topped with a rasher of crispy bacon.
