One of my close friends is the worst (or perhaps the best) 'vegetarian' out there. She eats chicken, pork and beef... to name a few.

Whilst she acknowledges she isn't a real vegetarian (obviously) she does actively reduce her meat intake, probably only having meat a few days a week, which to be honest, I think I agree with!

Does anyone else feel like they eat too much meat? Or is it a case of the more the merrier!

Moderation in all things is a good motto to live by.
I also only eat meat maybe 2-3 days a week.

I do, however, eat cake every day !

Chocolate, cake and wine are legitimate food groups!
Probably not enough. Have to bulk out the meal with veg :-(
i am not a vegan, vegetarian but do eat smaller portions of meat than i used to, this is not some way towards being a vegetarian but too much meat can do lasting damage,
I probably balance my meals equally between meat, poultry, fish and eggs.
Pasta....a balanced diet would seem to make common sense, but a Vegan diet could hardly be described as balanced.
That may be true...but people have many varied reasons for choosing to be vegan. I'd just advise them to research thoroughly and make sure they get all necessary nutrients.
I'm similar. I would eat seafood everyday but would happily only eat meat once or twice a week. I cook it because of the others in the house. I only serve myself really small portions of meat, toddler style.
my nephew is a vegetarian, he doesn't want to eat animals he said, fair enough, he is only 9, trouble he doesn't like vegetables much either... poor love.
Like danny, a little bit of every thing.
I used to work with what I can only describe as a militant vegetarian, ramming it down everyone else's throat at any opportunity, but she ate fish! Apparently fish didn't count to this hypocrite, you're either vegetarian or you're not, you're simply limiting meat intake.
That's it Zebo. I didn't eat meat from about the age of 12 until my 20's. Never called myself a veggie though because I ate fish.

I started eating meat when my daughter got to certain age and I cooked it for her.
i have meat at almost every meal - if its hasn't got meat its has fish in it.
Ummm...intrigued why you didn't eat meat for so long, if you weren't a vegetarian ?
Ummm is not calling herself a veggie because she ate fish - therefore she was infact a pescatarian
Who said ummmm was a pesticarian ? :-)

The argument for pescatarians is that meat and poultry are bred and slaughtered in cruel conditions, which makes it morally wrong to contribute to that situation by eating meat - but fish are not farmed and caught without undue cruelty, so eating fish is seen as morally acceptable.
A little of what I fancy when I fancy it.
Mamya - indeed - but what about a nice dinner afterwards????

(I thenk yaaooouuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!)
