How bad are meals on wheels?
We’re old, disabled, and getting tired of the daily cooking for which we take turns.
So just how bad are Meals on Wheels? Oh, we’re also vegetarians, just to complicate matters.

I always thought ummm DID like cooking...her meals often sound lovely.
Anyway...yes, the M and S meals can be good. I've gotten them for times I don't want to think about cooking. They are often on offer at 3 for £10. But the portions can be small.. depending on your appetite. If it's fish, I'll eat the whole pack. The ones made with boneless chicken are far more generous.

I used to work in the kitchen of a care home. When we had to close the kitchen for 2 weeks for rebuilding, we got Wiltshire Farm Foods as a replacement. They are microwave complete meals but better quality than the normal supermarket ones. All the residents complained about not getting 'fresh cooked food' but after a day or two the complaints stopped. They liked the wider choice , 5 or more options rather than just 2. When the kitchen reopened they ALL complained again but about having to go back to the normal menu.
