I did find one reference to 'vegetarian prawn crackers' on the web. I won't quote the URL as it takes ages to download just to see that someone referred to them and wrote "finally, after years of searching, I finally found some, yippeee! ". This suggests that they're available ( at least in some parts of the world) but probably hard to find.
