who has tried them, someone has just mentioned them... i want to try them but i can't get chicken and sausage to go together in my head, it;s just not working.
No idea about chicken ones but Sainsburys do a really blooming excellent turkey sausage. The texture is like a normal sausage and the taste is sublime. They are also healthier than standard sausages because the meat is less fatty
richmonds pork sausages have a really funny taste to them, i can't eat them. I've seem the heck italian chicken sausages but i just can't bring myself to try them. Hadn't thought of the turkey ones either.. trying to image turkey as a sausage and its not working... my head will not accept it
They are similar in firmness. If anything, depending on the brand of sausage bought the turkey and chicken ones are ever so slightly softer, not in a bad way though.
Turkey sausages are excellent.
We managed to buy a packet of them at ALDI. But it appears our branch only sold the darned things for about 5 days.... :o(
They look/feel exactly the same as a pork sausage, but taste delicious.
hmmmmm i'm wavering - the healthy bit doesn't bother me, I'm not after changing my sausages for health reasons just curious as to what they taste like, i have an image of a white hot dog type thing which put me off. I shall have to give it a try.
I've tried the Heck chicken Italia. They are quite thin and the skin goes tough when they are grilled. Tried loads of turkey and chicken sausages over the years and have given up as I find they have no flavour. I've switched to Porky Lights and that's all I buy now.
Interesting! Not tried them yet - but at least they are not being turned into veggie choice. Why do vegetarians have the need to change original fillings under the same name. They could call them rolls or cylinders.
