Drain and rinse chick peas; sprinkle some or all in a bowl, add a few stoned black olives, finely chopped shallots, diced tomato, chopped coriander leaves, sprinkle with a little ground cumin and pepper, sprinkle with lemon juice. Then (most important)eat.
We had them last night in a variation of the salad described by Atheist. Ours was drained chick peas, just half a tin for two people mind, chopped tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, plenty of grated carrot and balsamic vinegar to taste.
We'll have the other half tin in a tomatoe veg sauce over pasta sometime this week.
