Yes it does but the lettuce was added afterwards so it was cold and crisp with a big blob of mayo in the middle.
But as Ummm says lettuce is lovely cooked or wilted.
To be fair, i was once served a grilled lettuce with a beef burger and i was very disappointed. At the time i though who on earth grills lettuce, it tasted not good.

Cooking is still bound to improve it. For lettuce the ,'orrible bit is about 4% the taste and about 96% the texture. Think about it, no more leafy feeling stuff in your mouth because it's wilted until it's unrecognisable as such. But still easier just to leave it out.
