Every cell in the body needs water to function correctly. However, drinking too much can lead to water intoxication and serious health consequences including death.
Did you know that you can dilute water?
If a water company has a source that it very high in, say, nitrate....it dilutes that source with another that is very low in nitrate. The blend will then have a nitrate level that is permissable for drinking.
Probably the most successful Cabinet Minister was Denis Howell in 1976.
After months of sunshine, he was made Minister for Drought dubbed Minister for Rain. Shortly after getting the post he performed a rain dance for reporters. And it worked. However, it rained so much, they made him Minister for Floods.
According to my wife it helps people who suffer from dry skin conditions.I can't stand still water from the tap or a bottle. I only drink carbonated water with PLJ and get through about 4 litres a day. Some water, imo, are better than others. The Caledonian sparkling water loses its effervecence very quickly where as ,I find the Ashbeck English from Tesco retains its sparkle a lot longer.
For proper function of the body, all cells and organs of the body need water.
Mild dehydration can harm energy levels and moods, which may result in the symptoms of anxiety. Similarly, being hydrated can overcome some of the negative after-effects of drinking alcohol. Alcohol is a diuretic, and therefore it causes loss in more water then you take in. Moreover, Poor hydration may enhance the risk of developing or reoccurrence of kidney stones in some people.
Blimey - 4 litres a day is going some. I'm surprised you don't go pop if it's all fizzy bottled water, which, in my opinion is a complete waste of money and contributes hugely to plastic waste.
I live near Manchester and our tap water is excellent. Why anyone buys bottled water here is a mystery. Shows the power of Advertising.
The second biggest water brand in the world is Dasani by Coca-Cola. But you cannot buy it in the UK. Its launch here in 2004 was a fiasco. They were filling the bottles with filtered tap water, but the filtration made it worse quality than the stuff that came out of the taps. Coca-Cola had to withdraw it from the UK.
Sorry Diddlydoo if you disaprove of medical advise given to me due to ongoing medical issues. I rarely touch alcohol and to assist in keeping a healthy weight I have been advised to drink more water to take away any food cravings. As I have circulatory problem and have had a recent quadruple heart by-pass it is imperative I keep a healthy weight. This I have achieved and have lost four stone which will also ,hopefully, keep diabetes at bay.
As I have noticed the rubbish you often write on this site I would sooner take the advice of health care professionals than a deranged stranger on a forum thanks. As for ecology I dispose of my plastic bottles responsibly after use.
