All those sausages and only 2 hash browns. Those cups are going to be horribly greasy from the fat leaching out of the sausage and bacon. Where's the eggs? Fried eggs are much tastier when they are fried in the bacon fat.
Let us know how you get on.
Barry, I've read a couple of similar methods and one indeed had eggs that had been mixed within a uttered dish, though you can make them fresh on the morning. I like to make mine in the microwave, very light & fluffy.
I've just read the article. She still had to put the beans in a pan. I think that is more faff than cooking the sausage and hash browns in the oven and everything else on the hob (beans are good in the microwave, so are scrambled eggs).
My slow cooker is a small one, I may just cook the sausage & bacon ( those taking the longest time) ... & cook the other items fresh, time saving if nothing else.
"Bacon and sausages along the sides so they crisp up"
But one won't want to spoil the bacon by crisping it ! And crispy sausage ?!
Chuck it all in the pan and fry. Grill certain bits instead if you must. Would be interesting to hear the results of your experiment, but it all looks additional fuss to me.
Watch this space OG. I think it's a matter of preference regards crispy bacon. I'm interested to try it out, and also to tweak to see if I can improve on anything. The joys of cooking!
Hmmmm...I'm not sure about this. I cook sausages in my baby sized slow cooker...and they always release moisture. I add none. So I can't see anything crisping up.
I'd rather try a breakfast casserole...which when done....looks like a giant quiche.
Pasta, I was hoping yo would see this! I'm thinking greaseproof paper (en papillotte) may be an idea to wrap the bacon & sausage in, then unwrap in the last hour? What do you think? Nice link by the way!
Interesting is certainly a word for it. I could think of plenty of others though. Let us know. I cant help but think you might be in for a disappointment though
