Home Made Alcohol

I fancy making some homemade alcohol. Is it as simple as water sugar and yeast and if so does anyone have a recipe? I understand champagne yeast is the best one for a stronger brew

I want an alcohol base to then flavour with different things
Basically I guess I want to brew my own vodka

You'll need a still to make vodka, and a licence from Revenue & Customs

I was thinking a Demi John with a sugar solution- add some yeast and leave in a warm place until the bubbles stop coming through the bung

Don't necessarily need a still. Can use a freezer. Watch out you don't go blind.

Don’t try freeze distillation. Hot (still) distillation can separate the toxins from the drinkable alcohol because it evaporates first (the heads) and can be discarded. When you freeze distill everything gets concentrated including the bit that gives you the bad hangovers and can make you blind or even kill you

There are hundreds of videos on YouTube showing you how to make alcohol at home. It's illegal to make it ,and it has the potential to kill you. You are totally mad.

Due to the negative answers on here I might just content myself with a home brew lager kit to start off with
