Tinned Tomato Glut

Given a huge (5kg) tin of tomatoes....

Used some in a chilli con carne last night. Tomato soup tonight.

Any other ideas?

Put the rest in smaller containers and freeze. I have done this countless times, also with half thos small tins of concentrated tomato paste.

Bolognese? Or other pasta sauce?

Chop and fry some bacon and a couple of onions. Add some of the tinned tomatoes, a good glug of balsamic vinegar and half a tsp of sugar. Bubble it for five or so minutes, cook some pasta and chuck that into the tomato mix. Very quick, very tasty, freezable.
Make it as big or small as you want.

Yep, Sam has the right idea, freeze it till you need it.

How about a tomato and basil soup or a creamy tomato pasta sauce?

Batch cook more chilli con carne, soup, pasta sauce and freeze.

Make a good basic tomato sauce, freeze in smaller amounts to use later.
