M&S salted caramel teacakes.... picked up some this morning and they're rather tasty - with a (Lady J-made) mug of my afternoon Assam tea.

Do you have any particular weaknesses for afternoon/tea snacks?

lol....I approve, though I am more of a Lagavulin fan!
salt - bad caramel - bad
salted caramel?
We have finished the lagavulin lol
Question Author
they may be bad, dave, but they taste good. As to the Lagavulin, even better! How was the Kilchoman?
what it is with the "salting" of sweet stuff? Surely that ruins the taste, I don't get it.
Was great one of the cheapest tastings ever! 8 drams £9.50

My goodness - that's pricing from twenty years ago!
Good old Tetley tea bags do for me, but saying that Ive just discovered peppermint tea and I like that also.

Its nice and refreshing.
A few squares of Lindt 90% and I'm content.

TTT, it should only be a touch of sea salt...which is less "salty" than table salt. I put a bit in my coffee as I learned years ago that it cut the bitterness.
A steaming mug of Horlicks
I can't resist lemon drizzle cake with a cup of coffee. Going to M & S tomorrow so will be treating myself to one of their lemon drizzle cakes!
Oh I'd forgotten about Horlicks. Delicious. Must remember for my next order. What a treat.
Sweet and salty popcorn. I can polish off a whole sharing bag in one sitting.
I know we paid 30 for another tasting at lagavulin so definitely a bargain
Currently Earl grey tea, black no treats....
coffee with a slug of Baileys in it plus a banana split in half and spread with peanut butter yum!

for those of you who can eat bananas - I would be off to the hossie if one passed my lips, the smell sending out a psychosomatic warning...three of us in the family vulnerable to them - and Lady J has the same dislike.

As to lemon drizzle cake, we have a great farmshop for this, on the edge of Penryn. https://baileyscountrystore.co.uk/
is lady-Janine your partner?
