To try and save the planet and after years of TV adverts.......I tried vegan sausages.

Bloody awful, tasteless although they did look like sausages.

I don't want to know how animals are killed......I will never be avegan.

Some meat sausages are bloody awful and so are some vegan. Some are okay, some are quite tasty
I always wonder, Sqad, why vegan and Veggie foods are made from resemble meat eaters food, like sausages and burgers with the claim that they taste the same!
‘Cauldron’ sausages are good sqad. I had some at a bbq and they tasted so nice I asked what brand they were. I had no idea they were vegetarian.
Try the Linda McCartney range
Especially the burgers
I seriously could not tell that they were not meat

I am not vegetarian btw
Made to resemble
Why should food for people who don't eat meat taste like meat!! That's just plain daft to me!

Thanks folks but once bitten.......etc.
Pat, a lot of vegans enjoyed eating meat before and very much miss it. They didn't choose to be vegan because they don't like eating meat

As a comedian once said :
Because meat is murder and murder tastes pretty damn good !
What are organic farmers going to use for fertiliser if we get rid of all our food-animals?
Which ones did you try, Sqad? Some of them taste awful but the Richmond meat free ones are good. Even son likes them and he usually hates meat free products.
bhg, they are already using human waste

tigger...........Tesco's.
If we get rid of farm animals, what are we going to use to feed our dogs?
I tried the tesco ones and didn't like them at all.

As I said the Richmond ones are quite good. Burger wise, the Beyond burger is delish but a bit pricy. Co-ops 'GRO The Incredible Burger' is delicious too and cheaper.
I avoid organic food wherever possible; the source of fertiliser makes me even more determined to avoid it.
Most organic farms use animal manure
barry, fair enough but why are we importing it? There is plenty of home grown surely!
anyway, if god didn't want us to eat animals why did he make them out of meat?
