My kids love it. I remember when we took them to a Gaucho steak house when they were younger, about 8 and 9 years old, the waitress pulled me over to ask if they really meant 'rare'.
They milled the steaks like a pair of savages.
I used to organise racing trips with a stop at a restaurant for a meal afterwards. One of the guys who regularly attended insisted on his steak being so rare, the blood was almost gushing from the meat. Swear i saw his steak move once or twice without eve being touched.
I prefer mine cooked through - not tough but no pink stuff. Had a steak 'n' ale pie yesterday and the meat almost melted in the mouth. I'm hungry now:-(
Very rare with blood oozing. But the outside seasoned well and brown with slightly crisp fat. About 2 mins each side under a very hot grill. And either sirloin or ribeye. And I like dipping my chips in the bloody juices. It really is the only meat I enjoy.
We had rib eye last night, we both like it rare/medium, always fry it 3 minutes a side in a very hot pan.
Having said that, I didn’t hugely enjoy mine, even though I’d been looking forward to it. Nothing wrong with it but I think because we eat less and less meat I don’t enjoy the texture of meat so much now, won’t be rushing to have another.
