Or 2. Yesterday I got 2 packs of M and S Vintage Cornish Cove cheese and onion sausages...normally £4.75 reduced to 1.47 each. Then off to Sainsbury's where I found a boneless shoulder of lamb for £5.80...reduced from 11.75.
Last week it was Arctic Royal Mexican scallops at £4 reduced from £8 at Iceland...they are gorgeous by the way.
What bargains have you found lately?
I'm on a quest to find a sausage I like.
Usually, they are too spicy for me but then I found some that weren't spicy but the casings were inedible.
A friend said her butcher shop does lovely sausages, but not only were they too expensive, but they were also too spicy.
I'll have to start making my own. Should be fun. :-)
My favourite sausages are Asda own brand. We used to buy Richmonds from Farm Food but I believe I can detect sage in Asdas which appeals to my taste. My wife can't taste it though.
I bought a scotch egg today, reduced from £1.75 to £1.25. Never tried one before but our forthcoming holiday to the Outer Hebrides inspired me to have a go.
I tend to buy the best supermarket sausages because I don't like a lot of fillers. I started with M and S and Sainsbury's 97% meat ones over 10 years ago. Unfortunately most supermarkets have reduced the meat content in recent years.
I do like peppery sausages. Today I got some lamb and garlic chipolatas.
