i usually cook these on the hob but i want to use my slow cooker ,is 100mls of water enough x

Quite possibly. I always use a miniscule amount of liquid as it produces its own. You can always add a bit more if necessary.

Yes. For a 1.6kg Ham Joint 100ml or 3 1/2 fl oz should suffice.
