Good Morning Birdies.  Another Saturday and it's set to be a nice one.  I was unfortunately woken by another coughing fit.  Will it ever end? 😪

 

I made a nice big batch of soup yesterday so I don't intend to be cooking at all today.  

 

OH, bless him, has just gone to fetch me a cup of tea.  He's a keeper.

Morning, Smow.  I'm very bunged up.  Not to worry, I have a decongestant spray somewhere in the cupboard.  I've got one day's Prednisolone to take after today.  People say it increases your appetite but I found it's suppressed mine - or maybe it's just the bug itself - but either way my 5-year-old could out-eat me at the moment.  

FIL will be back round today to finish off the raking (we had 5 tonnes of soil delivered on Thursday).  OH is praying for decent weather next weekend when we finally lay the lawn.

If that's the case at least I can have the bi-folds open today and get some fresh air and sunshine.  

 

I'm hoping to drag OH round to the farm shop today.  I nipped in yesterday and fell in love with an olive tree they're selling.  I have asked OH if we can have it but at £299 he's not convinced.  He seems to think it might be risky planting it just before the winter - any advice welcome from any AB experts...

I've madly talked myself into going to a football match this afternoon with my friend!id hoped that she'd forget about it, but no, she's even got me a shirt!!

A BBQ would be lovely, Chip, but I wouldn't be able to do it justice.  Funnily enough I was rooting around in the pantry yesterday, stashing my Christmas goodies, and came across two disposable BBQs.  With BBQ you'd have to have wine (it's compulsory) but I wouldn't be able to even taste wine at the moment.  I wouldn't say no to some gorgeous weather though...

were popping to Corbridge this morning , a lovely little hamlet in Northumberland with some nice tearooms and a few curio shops to look in, them later I've arranged a meet up with around9 friends who we don't see so often now, some have moved away and some with family and work commitments so we're really looking forward to an afternoon of fun and laughter
