With broccoli and cauliflower cheese, and some carrots roasted with a bit of honey and a sprinkling of salt, is what we're having tonight.

I've been thinking it's Wednesday all day today, apparently it's Tuesday, so what are you having today, Tuesday??

ps. Don't buy Co op Black Forest mince pies, they're possibly the worst mince pies I've ever had and have nothing to do with being a mince pie.

The very name Black Forest Mince Pies is enough to put me off I'm afraid, I'm not surprised at the unacceptable result 😊

Tonight ?

Roast chicken thighs, steamed broccoli, baked potato.

Canary, they were disgusting. I thought they'd have some nice tart cherry in them along with normal mince pie filling.. but no, it was all jammy cherry stuff with a white swirly topping. I like Black Forest gateau..yes, I know.. so was hopeful 😕

Enjoy your dinner 😋

Co-op do have a nice mince pie- all butter pastry but not Black Forest.
Just had a Sainsbury's one - "Taste the difference" quite nice but nothing special.  Meal was butcher's steak pie, carrots and baby potatoes.  Funnily enough, I have also been thinking today was Wednesday!  Days just seem to melt into one another as Xmas nears!

Macaroni cheese with salad and cold meats.

Just a plain, 2-egg omelette & chips each for us.  Daughter & granddaughter are arriving about 7 for mince pies and mulled wine.  :)

noted on the Coop mince pies, their baked on site aren't brilliant - we have a local bakery who make fab-u-lous ones but at £4-50 for six - ouch. Bought six Waitrose ones today, yet to be tried. Tesco's ones aren't bad....

Mary Berry Peking Chicken, after her programme following saturday kitchen - but tonight with Italian piadina and some coconut, lime, coriander rice - see my thread on Waitrose rice..... and a stiff T&T to hand at the moment!
