Storing Eggs?

I have a china egg rack, made lick a porcelain eggbox.

Should I store the eggs pointed end up, or round end up,or does it make no difference?

Advice please.

I wondered if you did pasta. Apparently, it has something to do with the way the eggs are treated in America, but I can't remember now what it was.

Shell colour depends on breed of hen...I think

My late MIL kept chickens when they lived in Scotland...the eggs were divine.

The last eggs my cleaner bought me round were laid that morning.  My scrambled eggs were delicious.  One of them was huge with a double yoke.

I sometimes get white eggs with my delivery from Tesco. 

When I used to go to the shops, I would always look through the boxes for the brown eggs.

The main problem with white eggs is when you peel them when hard-boiled as you cannot see the bits of white shell on the white egg.

Have spoilt many a salad with bits of crunchy shell in it.😀

Apparently you can tell what colour a hens eggs will be by looking at their ears..who knew???? 🐓🥚👂

Atheist, apparently the feed doesn't has an effect on the shell colour..so I am reliably informed by my friend Google 😉

I was always told that what the hens fed on affected the colour of the yolk?

If you want a really deep yellow/orange yolk,go for Clarence Court eggs.

They are great,but not cheap.

Frankly,as long as the yolks are not really a pale yellow, it doesn't really worry me.I use them for scrambled/fried/poached/soft boiled,so supermarket free range standard, is my choice.

I think that I have opened a can of worms here?LOL

My daughter introduced me to Clarence Court eggs...they are very nice, and responsible for my increased uptake of eggs.

And Sainsbury's will often give me a reduced price with Smart Shop.

White feathered hens lay white eggs.  Brown hens lay brown eggs. 

Some chicken keepers add a harmless dye to the chicken feed to enhance the colour of the yolks
