There are many videos on YouTube on binding old books.

May be worth you having a look?

Thanks pete

Yes but before binding you'd need to get them in order first, which may be a tedious job

If you are binding books as a hobby you must know how to arrange the pages. Have you been on a training course?

Rebinding an old book in such a poor condition isn't really a job for someone with no experience of such work. It should be done by a professional, but that would, no doubt, cost a lot of money. It would be best if you could find such a person, but, if you have no luck there, then I wish you well.

It might be worth (if you can afford it !!) getting in touch with Christopher Shaw from The Repair Shop. Google his name and I imagine you could find out if he does private work apart from TV.

I left the book behind in sister's - but I am not worried about the presentation of the book - I will just put in numerical order and then use a large stapler or something - I do have patience for that as last week an ornament broke in to about 8 pieces and I put it altogether again just like Humpty Dumpty  LOL
