Sorry abbey - your posts does not make sense, and I'm not sure it's in the right category.

Perhaps you can re-post with a fuller explanation of your query.

Thanks.

Can anyone recommend The Ivy or The Botanist for a good night out?

Question Author

It's 24 hours I believe

I thought you had been to The Botanist, also The Ivy

Question Author

Only ivy for afternoon tea and yes botonist is nice.

What's the occasion?

Question Author

Like I said my birthday

Well you've been to the Botanist for a meal so must have a view on what it was like. And you've been to the Ivy- albeit for afternoon tea rather than a meal- but that experience, coupled with a look at the food and drinks menu, should give you an idea of whether it's a good choice.  I am not sure how our views matter- and you often  ignore any suggestions from us anyway.

which ones?

I can't recommend either but I don't think it's fair to book both.  Your surplus booking could mean loss of business for one of them.  You should make up your mind before you book - and stick to it.

Question Author

Well I like the botonist but never had food in ivy

'like I said my birthday'

No you didn't.

Go to the botanist if you know you like the food

Abbeylee ..... are you from Cardiff?

//I like the botonist but never had food in ivy//

So when you said you'd had afternoon tea at The Ivy was it just a cup of tea rather than sandwiches and cakes (food) with tea? It should still have given you an idea of how good the place was for meals.

Anyway, just pick one. The venue and what colour top you wear are less imprtant than the company you are with. If you are good friends you can entertain each other with funny stories about jobs, guys, older men who fancy you, doggy tales, holidays, gossip...
