does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

♫Happy Birthday dear Woofy,Happy Birthday to you♫ Hope you have a lovely day and many happy returns.
good grief, I've never even heard of a Phlat ball. I hope woofgang got some as birthday presents.

Me neither Jno.It's like a flat disc or frisbee type thing which turns into a ball from what I can see.I was a bit bemused when I unpacked it and only realised they had sent me the wrong item when I read the very tiny description on the enclosed label.I'll hang onto it until the puzzle arrives and see if my neighbour would like it for her grandchildren.
Nice of the seller to let me keep it though.

that's a fab cake Jno, thank you for your good wishes Shaney. I had flowers and a cream tea by post from one Sis, a vintage tripod shooting stick from Sis what stays with me and money to buy bulbs. From my godson's family I had membership to a live concert streaming website and a SHEDLOAD of chocolate. The website membership is so I can sit in the garden and have my own music festival. Did I tell you I am having a fruit cage and getting one big enough to glamp in? My BF (godson's mum) thinks its mad but then she knows I am, godson thinks its mad and brilliant....he found the website.

PS I ordered ring binder files from amazon and just got an envelope with the order details in it! Seller was as bemused as I was!
Good morning, sunny start to the day here.
So sorry I missed your birthday woofy, I hadn't turned the calendar over and in my head I'm still back in the middle of Junuarember. It sounds like you had a good one and best belated wishes from me.

Best wishes to your OH jno with the chemo, (and you too, it's not easy for those around either) I hope it's not too debilitating. As shaney said, one day at a time, and try to set mini treats to look forward to, even if it's just something nice to eat.

I had no idea what a Phlat ball was either, but I do now. The mini Tarquins probably have some. According to them I've got a werewolf living in my garden, a friendly daytime one, and of course it wasn't long before they decided he needed feeding. I pointed out that meat could be a problem at that moment, but no, this one is vegetarian. Oh, and he has a wife and 25 pups.....
I'm sure the story will continue :)
Hello all
Sunny day and not so hot,bit fresher.
Sounds like you had a good birthday Woofy.I'd love a cream tea.
If they lock us down again I might order one on a daily basis.
Hope you're all ok
Haha, I love the werewolf. I hope you don't have to adopt one of the pups Robinia:)

Hello all

Hija has doctored one for me so will try again!
So sorry jno about OH! Not an easy road to climb!
Hiya Robi glad you are feeling better
I've heard it is very painful nd takes a long time. Sister just paid £6000 to have 3 trees removed due to Dutch elm. Not what she needs at the moment. Excessively hit here now. Civil protection is giving us all advise what to wear, eat drink and do in the heat. Ive stayed in the coolth of the bedroom!
How are you shaney?
Hi Neti
I wondered where you were. Hope you get your passport sorted asap.
Just tell them you're the Queen of Ibiza that should shift 'em :)
I'm ok ,thank you.Same old.Sainsbury's have just brought my shopping and we're going to have a takeaway tonight.
No cooking .Yippee.
Hope you and yours are all well.
Watched a good film on Netflix last night. The Judge with Robert Downey Jnr and Robert Duvall. Very good.
I'm rewatching The staircase as I've joined an an internet discussion group about it.
Doctor has just phoned. Liver is fine but kidneys and thyroid causing concern so have an actual consultation next wed! Oh dear all this getting old!
Hope you are all ok and surviving!
Question Author
hope you aren't going to fall apart any time soon Neti. waves to everyone else :)
Good a'noon.
Hang on in there neti, hope everything gets sorted asap. £6000, oh heck that's a lot of money, but it is a massive job.

Nothing to report It's dull and breezy and a tad on the cool side but looks like it'll be a warm few days from tomorrow. I really ought to go and do a bit of snipping in the garden, I've got to keep it suitable for a family of werewolves to live in.
Oh yes, I've got a bird sighting to report, a green woodpecker. Maybe they're common in many areas but I'd never seen one before.
Hello all
Cloudy now after a bright morning. Not all that warm but supposed to hot up again.
We've had very few cases of covid here but a bar person at the Wetherspoons in the High St has tested positive and they've sent all the staff home to isolate. It was on the local news.I wonder how many people he/she/ has infected. It's not been closed though so they must have found more staff to work there and get infected. Can't have Dim Tim Martin out of pocket. My neighbour went past there when they reopened and he said it was heaving with nobody following any of the guidelines on social distancing etc and of course we have holidaymakers atm.Tut.
Otherwise same old.
Sorry to hear that Neti, hope they can sort you out asap.KBO.
another nice sunny day. I took OH to hospital to get a picc line installed and then went for a stroll round town. There were more people on the tube than last time I left home, about 12 in my carriage rather than six, but nobody close enough to be dangerous (I hope). And not a huge number in the city streets. I made sure I was home well before rush hour, though.

I wish this cough would go away. But it's been tickling my throat for weeks, so unlikely to be Covid related, and is probably just to do with getting dried out sitting in front of a hot computer screen.

I get a hayfever dry cough. Its a blooming nuisance. Sis went home yesterday, she is coming back in 5 weeks God willing. I am back to jobs jobs jobs, planning for my fruit cage, keeping the garden chopped and so on. talking of chopping I cut 4 inches off my hair today, all the straggly bits. Its surprisingly even! KBO all!
make sure you wash the pudding bowl when you're finished, woofgang
Question Author
nope all done freehand!
I finished my jigsaw of Happy days at work:The Hairdresser only to find there was one piece missing.I do them on a board which has a raised edge to prevent pieces going missing but I went all over the floor with a fine tooth comb and a torch just in case but couldn't find it. Put in a return to Amazon and they said I could keep the puzzle but would refund me.I don't suppose they want the hassle of collecting returns for items of small monetary value in the current climate.
My hair has grown long enough to put up in one of those claw clips and I can pretend I'm 21 again :)
Hope your OH is coping alright Jno and you too of course.
Been very warm here today.Hope the rest of you are all OK.
