maple syrup products

does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

It's hot and humid again here but no sign of any storms as yet. Accu threatened rain this morning but it didn't happen.

Wish we had Ocado Woofy. We used to get Waitrose home deliveries for a while but they stopped delivering over here.I think they came from Norwich and I suppose there wasn't enough take up for it to be viable and the only Marks food store is way out of town or over in Suffolk.
Tut Neti ... Sausage and Mash ? Have a nice steak instead :)

according to the lightning map there were a few strikes out Heathrow way; the storm just seemed to blow up out of owhere but it's moving northish, so it wa al a false alarm . I would like some rain through (or rather, I would like to stopw atering the garden).

Took OH for a feet appointment today. The report was: one foot has a neuroma but we aren't doing operations at the moment. The other has ligament trouble but we can't do anything about that either. OH discharged and sent limping home. Well, it's the least of our worries, I suppose.

Afternoon all
Hot and sunny ,no sign of any rain atm.Terrible in Scotland with all that flooding.We need rain but not floods.
I will have a look again at Ocado Woofy. There is a small Marks food store at the hospital but I don't think it's wise to go there at present.
That was a wasted journey Jno. It's horrible having painful feet.Hope your OH is doing OK otherwise.

have delivered and picked up OH for some chemo, now being slept off... Thunder is now rolling all round us again but still no rain that I can feel or lightning that I can see.

I had to google neuroma, sounds rather unpleasant. Poor you both, jno in this heat. Hope OH isnt feeling too bad. It was overcast and muggy this am but is now sunny.
Doctor has rearranged my meds as diabetic medication is causing the kidney problems. It's all beyond me so I just nod and take notes. Have to have another blood and pee tests in 2 weeks.

I popped into the hairdresser as my attempts though eager were disastrous ! My inscrutable chinaman shrugged his shoulders when he saw me and then when he was cutting it he actually laughed! I was quite put out! But it's all sorted how!
Lots more covid cases here on the island again but it was bound to happen letting in tourists. We just take precautions and wear masks all the time when out! We will have to learn to live with it!

thank you, all. Apparently there have been floods out in west London and 2cm hailstones, probably the area tonight's thunder was coming from. I don't know if I really want the hailstones for the garden or not.

The unbearable heat and humidity had started today. Just cant stand it. Met a friend for coffee on the promenade but was so hot I had to come home. Kept stopping under trees for the shade. Am not walking out anywhere for a while !

the last lot of storms came down from the south but veered west. The current band is coming from the south but appears to be also veering west.

five minutes of heavy rain, very welcome. The satellite maps show we are now in the middle of a band of rain from Stansted most of the way to the south coast. If that was true it would still be raining outside; but it's not.

We had heavy rain about an hour and a half ago. Both accu and the met office denied all knowledge of it. Strange times indeed.

Hope you're all OK. Very humid here in spite of a clap of thunder and a bit of rain earlier. I say bit as it was just a few minutes gnats piddle.

wed had more rain overnight and its much cooler here today. Still a bit sticky but bliss compared to the last few days

We are almost back in lockdown. Now no smoking in public places or terraces of bars (yippee I've been hoping for this for years!) All bars and restaurants close at 2am and last people admitted at midnight . Hotel to close their doors ar 1am ( but no one will be out by then anyway). Meetings cut down to 10 people again.
And I have chronic backache. It's been nagging for the whole week, staying in as have no energy to go out!
Hope all other biddies are full of energy and enjoying themselves.
