Has anyone tried this pomegranate juice? Oh my god...what did I do to deserve this punishment of the tastebuds? There is a reason why we have never juiced this fruit before.

I've never tried the actual juice, but Grenadine is a syrupy liquid made from the same fruit. It is the red stuff thats used in a tequila sunrise cocktail - it's mixed with fresh orange which makes it palatable. Maybe worth a try.

Yes it is delicious and very good for you too.

If you don't like it on it's own try the Pomegreat with Raspberry or Blueberry...it's a little sweeter. A bit like Cranberry. I love it!

I agree - Pomegreat with raspberry is scrummy!! But better still is cranberry and raspberry!

Pomegranite juice is superb! Did you juice it yourself? I'm just wondering wherther you put the white pithy membrane through the juicer with the seeds??? That would make it disgustingly bitter.

It was the shop bought version that I tried. It's called "Pom". You're right, I'm sure if I juiced it myself it would taste much better.
it may have been bitter because Pom is made from pomegranate concentrate (like some of the cheaper fruit juices). Can i suggest you try the one from Marks and Spencer, which isn't made from a concentrate, just freshly squeezed fruit? It's stupidly expensive, though. Another alternative is to use pomegranate molasses diluted with water. I like that in the summer when it's hot. You can buy pomegranate molasses from stores that sell eastern foods.
