Pasta like in supermarkets

I love the pasta you can buy in the supermarkets with the garlic herbie sauce on, a thin sauce that is. is it just a pesto mix you can buy or would anyone know how to make it. That would be even better. Now the spring is coming I am thinking of salads and love cold pasta. many thanks

Pine nuts, basil and olive oil. Grind the pine nuts and blend it all together.

A more elaborate but equally easy recepie is pine nuts, basil olive oil, parsley, parmesan and garlic. Just put it in a blender until it forms a paste. (easy on the olive oil!)
