the best way to clean my work flask please

put soad cyrstals in the flask add boiling hot water and put top on, shake very hard and leave to saok for an hour or so. tip out soad mix and rinse. you will have a great shinny inner flask. You can also do it with a dishwasher tablet,powder.

My late mother always reckoned that Steradent tablets worked wonders for cleaning flasks!

I was going to say steradent. I use these to clean teaspoons and they come up a treat.

Vinegar is often used to clean metal and other appliances. not sure exactly the proportion but it's either 1:5 or 1:10 of vinegar to boiling water. If you leave it to boil it's even better.

Soak it in denture cleaning tablets overnight, but you'll need to rinse it well. It'll come up a treat - I do this all the time.

No one has mentioned buying a long wide bottle brush, to give it a good clean after soaking!

What about Milton? the stuff you sterilise baby bottles in. You can get it in any supermarket/chemist.

Shazbang, no it should only be used on plastic, as it reacts with metal.

You could pour in some uncooked rice and hot water and give it a good shake to remove dirt from the sides, and then swill it with soapy water. Its what i do with my hamsters bottle then rinse thoroughly with water!

Bicarbonate of soda and boiling water.

Leave for a good few hours.

Rinse well.

whilst all the above are excellent suggestions by far the simplest way is to put some CHEAP coke in it...you will be suprised how quickly it cleans up!....excellent for cleaning almost anything - especially tea-stained teaspoons! Just soak overnight and wash in the morning!

i agree with mrs jo49155. coke or pepsi works wonders and cheap and easly accessible.
