Most things are fine in moderation

and apparently they now use 100% chicken in their nuggets! which kinda makes you think what was in them before! actually i know what was in them before as someone i know used to work in the plant that produces the meat for their items and it def wan't the finest cuts of meat......im sure most of us would giess that anyway. just be careful if you have their salads thinking they're a healthy option....the dressings they use mean theres often more calories in a salad than in a burger

Enriched bleached flour (bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, reduced iron), water, high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, yeast, contains less than 2 % of each of the following: salt, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, calcium silicate, wheat gluten, soy flour, baking soda, emulsifier (mono- and diglycerides, diacetyl tartaric acid esters of fatty acids, ethanol, sorbitol, polysorbate 20, potassium propionate), sodium stearoyl lactylate, dough conditioner (corn starch, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, calcium peroxide, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, enzymes), calcium propionate (preservative). Contains wheat and soybean ingredients.

And thats just the bun.............. http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=menuitems has the complete list of ingredients. The meat is actually just meat in the burghers, but the rest of the stuff is so filled with extenders, additives and other things there are always alternatives to consider.

Unfortunately the sandwich bars, pizza slices, muffins and rolls you mighht otherwise want to go for are as likely to have a stack of GM items, trans fats, additives and the like as well, so any food on the go is going to be a challenge to find as a healthy option - and the dressings on the salads are swamped with sugars, oils and sweeteners to add to the 'bad' stuff and the salad leaves are likely to be washed in chlorine baths and have loads of pesticide residue.

Have a nice meal.....

Sorry mkt:

Boneless chicken breast, water, modified cornstarch, salt, chicken flavor (yeast extract, salt, wheat starch, natural flavoring (animal source), safflower oil, dextrose, citric acid, rosemary), sodium phosphates, seasoning (natural extractives of rosemary, canola and/or soybean oil, mono-and diglycerides, and soy lecithin). Battered and Breaded with: Water, enriched bleached wheat flour (flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), yellow corn flour, bleached wheat flour, modified corn starch, salt, leavening (baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, calcium lactate), spices, wheat starch, whey, corn starch. Breading set in vegetable oil. Cooked in partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, (may contain partially hydrogenated soybean oil and/or partially hydrogenated corn oil and/or partially hydrogenated canola oil and/or cottonseed oil and/or sunflower oil and/or corn oil). Contains wheat, milk and soybean ingredients.

And thats the McNugget only made from chicken breast.......

Whether it's decent now or not I wouldn't dare touch it with a barge pole! I haven't eaten there for ages, all my mates go there, I'd stick to a sandwich or my dad's homemade burger and chips, at least I know where it comes from!
Perfectly "safe" to eat but I wouldn't want to.

Sorry to disagree with everyone but it's all down to personal taste.

I don't care what they were made of or what they are made of now. I LOVE McDONALDS!!

Not that I eat them very often at all but when I do, I enjoy it, whether it be a McChicken Sandwich or a Big Mac.

I agree with CheekyChops, I have one once in a blue moon, and I realy enjoy it. I know it's not the most nutritious food in the world, but then what fast food is?
